"Strength is often the most important issue in machine construction"
A world without machines is inconceivable. Machines take care of a range of tasks including the everyday running of the household, producing consumer goods, printing our documents and ensuring that our waste is recycled. Machine construction is an extremely diverse market, with a great number of customers and just as many requirements. But machine construction also has one common denominator: in machine construction, strength is often the most important issue, and the cost aspect here needs to be carefully monitored. In many cases steels like S235 and S355 are satisfactory, but often higher-quality steels are necessary such as 42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6 and 30CrNiMo8, or tool steels which are subsequently hardened. Vullings has extensive experience in processing these materials, including machining of hardened parts.
Commonly used materials: various (high-grade) steels, tool steels and non-ferrous materials.
