"Low weight is the most important issue for components used in aviation"
In aviation, weight – or lack of it – Is the most important issue. This is not only the case with the aircraft itself, but also with the parts which are directly or indirectly incorporated. Vullings manufactures components for machinery and equipment used in aircraft. The low weight of these components is partly achieved via the use of light materials, but also by narrow wall thicknesses and high precision.
In addition the aircraft is powered by jet engines, where heat resistance combined with corrosion resistance is essential. Materials such as Hastelloy or Inconel, for example. An area where Vullings is completely at home.
Commonly used materials: Heat-resistant stainless steels (such as Hastelloy and Inconel) and light materials such as aluminium.
